Customer Service Representative/ Receptionist

Job Description:

Based in Delta, British Columbia, this position serves customers by providing product and service information and resolving product and service problems. Serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival; maintains security and telecommunications system.

Responsibilities

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries to the appropriate person.
  • Attentive to our potential customers by answering product and service questions; suggesting information about other products and services via telephone and email interaction and passing them to the appropriate sales individual.
  • Directs all product or service challenges to the appropriate salesperson by clarifying the customer’s complaint and giving them prompt customer service.
  • Responsible for making logistic appointments for the warehouse/shipping team. Expediting any correction or adjustment needed, following up to ensure resolution of the issue and communicate to the appropriate person.
  • Package and send out customer sample products as requested.
  • Assists and maintains customer records by updating account information.
  • Assisting in maintaining financial accounts by processing customer adjustments and invoicing.
  • Prepares product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Responsible for communicating the needs of office supplies.
  • Maintenance of A/R and A/P customer files including storage filing.
  • Coordination of travel and food show booth set up in conjunction with the National Sales Manager and Ownership.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area including light cleaning of reception and public areas.
  • Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer’s instructions for house phone and console operation.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and needs.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
